PROMOTION TESTING RESULTS
The following students attended and were successful in the Promotion Belt Testing in the Main Dojang (Blackburn Hamlet) on Wednesday, May 7 & Saturday, May 10, 2008:

How does our testing criteria work?
49.9 & below - FAIL (student must redo the entire test) 50.0 to 59.9 % - Probationary Mark (student needs to redo a portion of test) 60.0 % and up - PASS (student is promoted to the next level)
For Passing grades we have different markers of achievement -
P.R. - PROGRESS REPORT**** (see below) 60.0 to 61.9 % - Minimum Passing Score (compared with a "C-" in school) 62.0 to 66.9 % - Below Average (compared with a "C" in school) 67.0 to 69.9 % - Acceptable Average (compared with a "C+" in school) 70.0 to 71.9 % - Average (compared with a "B" in school) 72.0 to 73.9 % - Above Average (compared with a "B+" in school) 74.0 to 74.9 % - Very Good* (compared with an "A" in school) 75.0 & Up % - Excellent** (compared with an "A+" in school)
* - This score allows the student to deduct 5 classes and 1-month from the required attendance level for the next rank ** - This score allows the student to deduct 10-classes and 2-months from the required attendance level for the next rank **** - This score is given when a student had previously obtained the same belt or a higher level from another program, school or organization and they are now training in our school. After learning the necessary material and completing a certain amount of hours, they are permitted to move up without testing but they must at least demonstrate the techniques and patterns for each belt level.
