Over the weekend, Blackburn Taekwon-Do celebrated its 2008 Open House and its 7th Anniversary Pot-Luck Dinner. We would like to thank all our members for their continued support and belief in our school!
September 8, 2008 -The FALL SCHEDULE for Blackburn Taekwon-Do begins today. Please refer to our schedule for details. Please note that this week is a "BRING-A-FRIEND-TO-CLASS" week. You are welcome to invite a friend(s) to class to your class. We will be introducing a rewards program for referring members to our school! Details coming soon...
This Saturday we are having our OPEN HOUSE with Live 88.5 FM. We hope you can attend. Pass it on! (Live 88.5 slogan).
This Sunday (September 14 from 4:00 to 10:30 PM) is our 7th Anniversary Party. We are hosting a Pot-Luck Dinner and a Live Performance from THE SILVER CREEK BAND. They are a local Ottawa Band with their own CD. You can hear some of their music by checking them out on their "my space" page. Click here to see for yourself.
September 1, 2008 -We will be hosting "BRING A FRIEND TO CLASS WEEK" again. This time it will take place from Monday, September 8 to Friday, September 12, 2008.

On Saturday, September 30, 2008, 8-candidates from Blackburn Taekwon-Do and 13 candidates from Trigger's Taekwon-Do undertook a 7 hour black belt test.
The day started with a 3.5 hour pattern workshop led by Mr. LeGrow where he covered all color belt patterns, Continuous, Fast and Connecting Motion as well as various other definitions of movements.
At 1:30 PM (after a lunch break) the testing candidates were examined in the following areas:
