Little Dragon Taekwon-Do (3 to 5 Years Old)
Give your child a head start on life
Our Little Dragons Preschool program is a detailed curriculum to help your child develop motor skills, listening skills and a foundation for success in school. We believe that the preschool age is a critical time in a child's development. Our program focuses on the following skills in a fun and safe environment:
Learn in a Fun and Safe Environment:
During the Blackburn Taekwon-Do Little Dragon Program, parents always take part in the child’s learning process. Our caring instructors will introduce Taekwon-Do to your children, bring you and your child closer together and make you feel right at home.
This program is divided into classes not exceeding 8-children per class. One parent or guardian per child is expected to attend, supervise and assist the child while the instructor leads the class. When we are not working hard in class, we are preparing for a school event, a party or a holiday activity.
Tradition, Confidence & Respect
Through the study of a Traditional Martial Art, your children will learn confidence, respect and honor. Little Dragon Taekwon-Do Students strive to become upstanding students in school as well as more obedient children around the house and modern day Samurai. The training they receive will carry over into their every day lives.

Learning Does Not Stop Once They Leave the Mat
It is not all fun and games...Little Dragons are expected to practice their lessons at home. The children will earn "stripes" as a promotion through their accomplishments in and out of the school. Every two weeks we focus on a life skill such as focus, discipline, respect etc. The children are given "homework" to practice with their parents to better the skills learned in class on their days off.

The 5 & 6 Year Old program will follow the ITF Taekwon-Do curriculum. After learning the necessary materials and completing the necessary amount of classes, the students may proceed with a promotion test as per the curiculum of Blackburn Taekwon-Do & the International Taekwon-Do Federation.
Then on to Taekwon-Do...
Our Little Dragons who enter the program between 3 and 5 years old will eventually graduate once they have passed enough stripes or turn 6 years old. Then your child will enter a Taekwon-Do class where they will start learning the ITF Taekwon-Do curriculum.
After completing either of the Little Dragons program, your child will have a solid foundation in basic skills and will be able to enter the Taekwon-Do program with confidence.
